Experience
I attended Troy University where I acquired my bachelor's degree in English. I also attended Case Western Reserve University where I acquired my master's degree in English. I am currently still at Case, and I am working at a second year PhD candidacy here. While at Case, I spend a lot of my time editing and writing. I also have tutored at the writing resource center. I have worked with graduate, undergraduate, and professional students from all different walks of life. I am proficient in revisions. However, I also enjoy tutoring literature, writing essays, test preparation, and writing in a creative manner. Being that I am dabbling in fiction writing myself, I would have to say that my absolute favorite subject to tutor is creative writing. I try to entice students to let their creative juices flow. I also believe in pushing students beyond their comfort zone. Pushing a student a little harder than he or she may like allows for the student to see what they are actually made of and what they're capable of. When I am not tutoring, I can be found cycling and hiking. I also am always on the hunt for new and interesting books, music, and movies to get sucked into.
