Hi parents and students! My name is Mark and here are some things about myself. First, off I am academically gifted. I got a perfect 800 on my math SAT. I majored in mathematics at Grove City College and was on the math honorary society. I have tutored students in prealgebra, SAT math, Algebra, Geometry, Business Calculus, Calculus I, Calculus II, and more! Right now I am a tutor for the online tutoring center called Tutor.com and a tutoring center called Knowledge Points. With the tutoring center it costs a minimum of $44 an hour for my services. Here you can enjoy one on one tutoring for only $30 an hour. I love working with people and I love seeing them succeed. I have tutored people as young as 10 and as old as in their mid 40s. I am a great communicator and in fact interned as a youth pastor for 8 months where I would speak in front of groups as large as 200. In terms of my approach and tutoring it really is quite simple. My goal is to help the students understand why math makes sense instead of teaching them something that they need to repeat. When students get why it makes sense they are more likely to remember it and to enjoy it. I help students learn through examples, asking leading questions, and much more. I am a very affirmative person because I know that a lot of times students aren't doing well because they just don't have the confidence. Through equipping the students and affirming them, they are given the confidence and the tools that they need to succeed!
